Enzymes Manufacturing

People have always used micro-organisms like bacterias, yeasts, and molds (and the enzymes that they produce) to make foods. With modern scientific advancements, we are now able to identify the enzymes that are responsible for making food and drink like bread, beer, cheese and wine.

How are enzymes produced?

Enzymes used for industrial purposes are produced via contained, controlled fermentation in large closed tanks using a well-defined production strain. The microorganisms that produce the enzymes are modified to produce enzymes with better purity and yield properties, but these genetically modified microorganisms (GMMs) are removed from the fermentation broth after fermentation. They are inactivated and removed by centrifugation and filtration after production strains have been grown under specific conditions to maximize the amount of enzyme produced.

Are enzymes genetically modified microorganisms?

The enzyme itself is not and can’t be a GMM since enzymes are substances and not organisms. Once the enzyme has been separated from its production strain, it is then purified, standardized, and stabilized with diluents which deliver liquid or granulated enzyme products. Enzyme production has a great deal of benefits. These include ensuring constant product quality and high production yield, as well as the ability to obtain enzymes that are specifically targeted to perform tasks under required conditions. For example, detergent enzymes are active at very low temperatures, making them more beneficial for people who use them.

Companies that manufacture enzymes adhere to standard operating procedures and quality-control measures. Here at JBMbio, we are always looking for ways to refine our procedures to make them as effective as possible. We follow rigorous requirements with the goal of ensuring the safety of our clients.

What JBMbio offers

Enzymes are in high demand as a result of consumer demand, and we feel strongly that natural bacteria and enzymes have applications for a variety of markets.

We produce probiotic feed additives to control and reduce intestinal imbalances in livestock, along with agriculture products that thrive in the root zone of plants.

We have wastewater and aeration systems, along with EnviroDEFENSE products that offer sustainable solutions for treating wastewater, ponds, lakes, livestock waste, and sewage.

We offer household enzyme formulations to treat hard surfaces, drains, and clean by freshening carpets and floors. Enzymes are a safe, natural, and trusted alternative to chemicals, and are the modern standard for clean homes.

No matter your microbial bioaugmentation needs, we have the solution.
